This relationship has been strong and long lasting with Domotechnica. However, it was a couple of years later that Homespares introduced the DDR brand in 1975 with a focus on values of durability, dependability, and reliability and pre-packaged spare parts.
They adopted technology by installing their first computer in 1979. This was a critical stage in their pursuit of efficiency. WML’s growth resulted in relocation to the Boundary Industrial Estate in 1980 and became the foremost pattern spare parts supplier.
In 1982, it acquired RH Components, thus Homespares Scotland in Dunfermline came into being. The company changed its name from WML to Homespares Centers Limited and introduced their first-ever colour catalogue. In 2000, John Farnworth replaced him as Managing Director and a CD ROM based catalogue with an online ordering was introduced.
